On Thursday 5th Sept the Old Hall Bookstore
has a book-signing with best-selling author Robert Harris  who’ll be signing copies of his new book ‘The Second Sleep’ (purchase price £20) Robert Harris was born in Nottingham in 1957 and is a graduate of Cambridge University. He has been a reporter on BBC’s Newsnight and Panorama as well political editor of the Observer and a columnist on the Sunday Times. He has authored several non-fiction books in addition to his best-selling fictional thrillers.

Friday 6th looks like being a busy night in and around town. First up there’s a charity fund raiser at the Red Lion in Brackley with live rockabilly music from Wild  (check out their website https://wild.uk.net/ ).

It promises to be a load of fun and it’s in aid of a worthy cause too.

The same night, the nearby village of Culworth hosts its latest film night showing ‘Mary Queen of Scots’.

Finally, if you still have the energy the Weston and Lois Weedon Drama Group have a murder mystery production called ‘The Act of Union’ at Lois Weedon Village Hall. It sounds really good.
