Today – Thursday Winchester House School launches Brackley Community Dementia Choir, inspired by Vicky McLure’s two-part BBC documentary, Our Dementia Choir. Singers of all ages and abilities who are suffering from dementia are invited to join the first of the weekly Thursday rehearsals in The Forum at Winchester House, High Street, Brackley, NN13 7AZ. Tea, coffee and cakes will be served from 10am, Link with singing from 10.20am to 11am. Carers are most welcome and membership of the choir is free. Also on Thursday, U3A have their next event at 10.00am. Held at the Methodist Church, High Street, Brackley, NN13 7DT. The speaker is Alan Tumber and his topic is Rhyme Nor Reason – collection of comic song and poetry with live music, pictures and film clips from a bygone age. Go along if you are semi-retired or retired and find out what U3A is all about.
A week on Monday (23rd) is the Wildlife Trust meeting at the Methodist Church.
Andrew Jackson from Brackley Hogwatch will be explaining about his work saving hedgehogs and how Brackley can help these endangered animals.
