On Saturday, Brackley Town Saints entertain West Bridgeford FC in the FA Vase at St James’s Park.
This is the first visit to Brackley for the Nottinghamshire outfit, and with good prize money at stake it will be an entertaining and well competed game. Kick off is at 3 pm with just a £6 entrance fee and £1 for under 18s and concessions
Autumn is Art Trail time – a great opportunity to explore the area and discover the artists beavering away creatively in villages. Pick up an Art Trail brochure in The Forum, libraries and venues around the trail area or have a look at the artists’ information on www.arts-sn.org.uk to see what takes your fancy and check when studios or exhibition venues are open. Most are open and demonstrating during the two weekends, 5 & 6 and 23 & 13 October and there are plenty to see during the week too. Do support our local artists and craftsmen – this is a great opportunity for them to hear feedback on their work as well as to sell pieces or discuss commissions. October Arts Events Calendar
The exhibition Forty Years On at The Heseltine Gallery is a tremendous show of art and design of all kinds by alumni of Chenderit school, open until 18th October, plus a talk by the Curator John Childs, former Head of Art who nurtured the creativity, on 6 October – something to build into your Art Trail plan, perhaps.

Brackley Old pool – So the old swimming pool is no more!!
What will become of the land?
Who does it belong too – Brackley Town?
Which Council – Town, SNC or County has control?
Time will tell as always!
It’s probably a big job to empty the water as it chlorinated
and there is a lot of rubble too!!
And a fresh now sign for ‘Brackley Butchers’
